Ramona Said:
What are some websites where I can find college grants for myself since I'm gonna major in education? We Answered:
Hello,"If your are looking for Student grants for college then FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is Your Friend. Only 24% of US adults have college educations. Many adults want to go to college but don’t think they can afford it. Government Grants can help. If you’re going or considering going to college, the best piece of advice I can give you is to fill out your FAFSA."
Here is a "must" site for you to find the information and the forms: http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/
I also found a great blog that has people stories and guides about their experience with college grants and different other kinds of grants.
Here is a review of fafsa:
http://government-grants.tv/blog/student-grants-for-college/110/
Here is a guide on how to apply for a grant at FAFSA:

You will also find a lot of information on google, try to look for free information, it is available, however sometimes it is saving time to pay few bucks for a professional help.
Answering your question took me a few minutes of search on google and this blog gave me most of the answers. Hope my answer saved you some time and helped you.
Good luck :)

If i check off the box that asks if I'm interested in student loans on the FAFSA, will i get less grant money? We Answered:
No it will not. It just lets your school know that you are also interested in loans.Leona Said:
Can I get a TEACH Grant and Loan Repayment? We Answered:
Yes, you can get the TEACH Grant AND qualify for the loan repayment program while teaching, as long as you are enrolled at a institution that participate in the TEACH Grant Program.Maureen Said:
I need the name of the program that sends American college students to teach for a year in another country? We Answered:
If you're talking about the grant that begins with an "F", you must be referring to the Fulbright Scholarship. It is extremely difficult to get, although if you think you have a shot at it, go for it. My cousin got his M.A. from the University of Bologna in Italy on the Fulbright."The Fulbright Program provides funds for students, scholars, and professionals to undertake graduate study, advanced research, university teaching, and teaching in elementary and secondary schools abroad. The initial reach of this program had been primarily European countries, and now the program operates worldwide."
There are other less prestigious programs out there that allow you to teach in China or Japan for a year before you begin graduate work, but these programs aren't nearly as good.
Hope I was able to help, good luck to you.

What are the best grant programs out here? And which software teaches you how to write and apply for a grant? We Answered:
For education, check out Federal Student Aid Web Site or FAFSA http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/ I suggest you explore all federal funding and grant options at the Federal Student Aid website http://federalstudentaid.ed.gov/It is hard to find grants to start a business. Unlike the myths that some perpetuate, federal government and even private foundations hardly give grant money for starting a for-profit business.
One possible exception is for companies developing or exporting agricultural goods, including food and forest product. Another exception could be the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) or Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs http://www.sba.gov/aboutsba/sbaprograms/… , which fund the research and development of technological innovation that meets specific government needs.
Your best bet actually will be from the states if they offer grant programs for women (or any other special interest groups -- minorities, women, disabled, veterans, etc). Or check with non profit organizations, particularly women organizations if they offer grants. Examples include
Iowa Women's Foundation http://www.iawf.org/
New Mexico Women's Foundation http://www.nmwf.org/guidelines.html
Even SBA does NOT give out grants. From the SBA website http://www.sba.gov/mostrequesteditems/CO…
"The U.S. Small Business Administration does not offer grants to start or expand small businesses, although it does offer a wide variety of loan programs. (See http://www.sba.gov/financing for more information) While SBA does offer some grant programs, these are generally designed to expand and enhance organizations that provide small business management, technical, or financial assistance. These grants generally support non-profit organizations, intermediary lending institutions, and state and local governments."
Nonetheless, you can go to the Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) http://www.cfda.gov and Grants.gov http://www.grants.gov - these are two sites created by the federal government to provide transparency and information on grants. Browse through the listings and see if you can find any grant that would support a for-profit venture.
Here is a listing of federal grants for small businesses. See if there is any available for individuals for starting a business -- THERE'S NONE.
http://12.46.245.173/pls/portal30/CATALO…
Most of the federal grants are given to specific target groups with specific requirements (e.g. minority business owners involved in transportation related contracts emanating from DOT - Grant#20.905 Disadvantaged Business Enterprises Short Term Lending Program
Grants are also often given to non profit groups or organizations involved in training or other similar activities (grant 59.043 Women's Business Ownership Assistance that are given to those who will create women's business center that will train women entrepreneurs

Does the TEACH Grant pay for your full tuition or just give you up to $4,000 towards tuition? We Answered:
I believe, if I read the information correctly, it will allow up to $4,000 per year for schooling. I too am going back to become a teacher and have looked into the grant. I'm also attending community college for at least the first year and then possibly transferring to a 4 year college that offers the teach grant. I'm trying to determine if I will get enough additional aid for my 2nd year of schooling to make it worthwhile to switch to a 4 year school for my 2nd year or wait until my junior year. I'm going to fill out financial aid next year and talk with a financial aid advisor at both schools before determining for sure which school I will attend for 2010/2011.Good luck with your schooling.
