Teach In America

Christian Said:

Help! I need to prepare a 5 minute teaching lesson for a job interview with Teach for America. Any ideas?

We Answered:

Do a PowerPoint presentation on something. Go to Google advanced search, and in the filetype, select PowerPoint (ppt), then type in your desired topic to teach about. It will bring up many pre-made PowerPoint presentations. That way, alot of your work is done for you :) .

Ron Said:

Accepted into Teach For America AND medical school - what should I do?

We Answered:

Nobody can really tell you what is best, but I personally know the guy who does some recruiting for Teach For America and he would be thrilled to get a good person like you who wants to make a difference. However, Medical school is hard to get into and if you worked hard to get there you should probably continue on that path. Good doctors are even more important than before. Many are leaving the profession and there won't be enough to take care of all of the newly created elderly. If med school don't work out then Teach for America will always be there for you to try. Med school is way more iffy.

Did an African have to leave his country in 1959, come to the US, graduate from Havard and teach America how ?

We Answered:

The guy knew exactly what he was up to. Left a son behind pretended to have abandoned him, came back to check on his son's progress, returned to Africa to continue revelling in women, booze and politics, and and left everything in the hands of time to decide.

TG for such smart, quiet, wisdom.

About how many highschools in america teach japanese? Or would be willing to hire a japanese teacher?

We Answered:

Brian, I don't know - I guess not many.

The reason why I answered your question is there are lots of opportunities to teach English in Japan. These are businesses, separate from the Japanese school system.

However, if you're looking for an opportunity to teach in one of their high schools, you'll need to research what their credential requirements are.
