Teaching Assistant Course

Ken Said:

I am currently doing my level 3 teaching assistant course and need help with a question if possible please.?

We Answered:

My take on this is that you are there to assist the primary teacher, and take guidance and instruction from them. Most primary teachers won't give up "responsibility" for a sub or assistant to actually be in control of a particular study, but they may have responsibility over certain functions, such as grading papers, or preparing for the next class by having notes ready for the instructor, or by copying required material. Good luck.

I done the Newham teaching assistant course but i have misplaced my certificate i need to no what level is it?

We Answered:

You need to know the awarding body, which will issue a replacement certificate.

It is, however, nothing less than a tragedy that a teaching assistant should say "I done" rather than "I did", especially one in Newham where so many children need to have this error corrected.

Francis Said:

Anyone studied a CACHE Level 2 teaching assistant course?

We Answered:

There are two pathways to this qualification, the Award and Certificate. The Award consists two mandatory units and one option unit and the Certificate is two mandatory and two optional units. The Award/Certificate is work based, so you will need to be employed or working as a volunteer within a school setting. You will learn how to support the teacher in a school and are assessed by one internally marked assignment and one externally marked assignment.
It is not difficult if you are willing to apply yourself and listen to the many sources of advice.
Hope this helps.
Good luck.

Edwin Said:

I want to do online teaching assistant course with an recognised certificate in UK?

We Answered:

You will need experience of being around children, and you can't do that online.

I would recommend you look at local colleges who do the course, or ask your local school if you can do some work experience with them.
