What is teaching English in South Korea like?We Answered:
bussan is extremely far from the seoul i don't know how much fun it will be in basically the kansas of koreai only know about teaching in the big city and you make BANK. Its a lot of fun so i would suggest trying to get a job in the city theres plenty of them.
you can get pretty bad looks and words from korean men
thats just the way it is though its not like hardcore but grow some tough skin
All english teachers are foreign. So don't worry about other korean teachers on you.
The women are the same over there as in here nothing different. You probably will get the general gold digger wanting to marry to for a visa..thats just any country though

What it be a good idea to open up an English Teaching School In South Korea? We Answered:
My Korean friend says that English is very important to Koreans. Grammar & vocabulary is well known with most educated Koreans, the problem lies in the practical side of the language. My advice would be to do something with substance that is different yet better than the other schools, for example, take the students to tourist destinations, or tourist venues, while speaking English, they can gain 'points' when they attempt to interact with an English speaking person. They could even gain, '10 points', if they score a number from a hot chick.Andrea Said:
Can anyone give me advice about teaching English in Seoul, South Korea? We Answered:
Well they don't really care about your "interests", they are running a business so don't expect to be mollycoddled. You will be fine as long as you do the job satisfactorily. It works both ways though, if you are not happy they know that you could walk out and another place would hire you tomorrow. It's incredibly easy to find work here. Just last week I walked off the street into a school and was hired on the spot. I probably won't take the job as I was mainly enquiring out of interest but that shows you how easy it is. xRebecca Said:

I am thinking of doing a year's contract teaching english in south korea. Any advice? We Answered:
dont be forced to take the first job thats offered. work on YOUR timetable...not theirs.30 hrs a week usually means in class time...not total time at the school.
make sure to get contact info (email) of the current teachers there or even better, the former teachers.
if u are a non-white foreigner, u have a better chance at getting a job at a public school than a hagwon.
university jobs usually only hire applicants that are already in korea.
if u must use a recruiter, its ok to use more than more at a time to find the best job.
do ur research online on any school that gives u an offer. facebook has a group called 'hagwon blacklist'.
