Primary teaching in scotlandWe Answered:
They'll go on experience and your application form for the interview. You'll then be offered a conditional offer if your successful which will just mean you have to get that to get on the course.Good luck.

Teaching in scotland question?We Answered:
In Scotland there are only two primary education courses that can be studied- Bachelor of Education which is a 4 year course for people with no previous degree and a PGDE which is a one year course for people who have a previous degree. The primary teaching degrees cover all primary stages including nursery (so essentially ages 3-12, although the course covers the 5-14 curriculum). If you are undecided about whether to teach primary or secondary then apply to both courses at several universities. Many universities throughout Scotland offer these courses but they are very competitive.

Once you gain your teaching qualifications in Scotland, can you teach in England? We Answered:
Absolutely. I did it the opposite way around. I qualified in England then moved home to Scotland. My friend is in the process of applying to England for a teaching post. The advice I will give you is to make sure your application to the GTC of England is underway and when it comes to interviews, really hone in the new curriculum for excellence. The use of learning intentions, objectives as they are known in England, have been in use for quite some time now. The new curriculum is well in line with the English system. Hope this is useful.Leon Said:
I have a question about teaching in scotland? We Answered:
There's a wide range of languages taught in secondary schools in the UK.Not so much Russian, but there are Russian students in a lot of schools.
Schools do teach French and German, some also offer Polish if the student is capable of learning more than one MFL and there's a teacher available to teach the language.
Financially, you'll be on around £28,000.

Small towns in Scotland and teaching? We Answered:
If you're looking for isolation you probaby want to think about moving to one of the Northern Islands (Lewis/Orkney) Both require a ferry to the mainland (Aberdeen)If, however, you still want to be fairly central (Glasgow/Edinburgh), there are oodles of little towns within easy commute.
The teaching situation in Scotland isn't great at the minute. Too many teachers and not nearly enough jobs, especially in the Primary teaching sector.
www.tes.co.uk is usually where all the teaching jobs are advertised but I really wouldn't get your hopes up.
