Visa for working and living in the USA?We Answered:
It seems like every young person in the U.K. wants to move to NYC...and many from the U.S. want to move to London. It is almost impossible to get a work permit in the U.S. The only way is to have a very badly needed work skill and find an employer to give you a contract and sponsor your work visa. See 1st site below. You simply cannot immigrate to the U.S. unless you have an immediate family member in the U.S. to sponsor you or have a VERY rare job skill the only other way is to apply Thur the Diversity lottery program. You have to register for the lottery 2 years in advance...then only 50,000 of the 10 million or so who apply are chosen for further evaluation...tough part is, U.K. citizens are not currently eligible to apply thru this program. See 2nd site. Have you ever spent time in NYC? Do you now it costs 4 times as much to live there than the average cost of living in the U.S.? What info is your decision based on...TV and movies? The truth is, it is nearly impossible for a U.K. citizen to immigrate to the u.S. European countries are open to you...have you considered one of those? See 3rd site to read visa requirements for the U.S. I am sure this is not the news you wanted to hear...but think creatively and use that great education you just got to find what you should do now.Randall Said:
St. Andrews,Scotland ? Guidance required?We Answered:
I don't understand...how could you be waiting or replies from 7 other uk universities if you are only allowed to apply to 5 in total??St.Andrews is very well known. The most prestigious out of your list is KCL, in general, job prospects are better-but I don't think it specializes in IT. I think York, Surrey, St. Andrews or Edinburgh would be better for IT-St.Andrews is probably the best out of here.
Depends on if India likes prestige, or what the university is better at. Ask an IT person in India, like who they would rather hire. A KCL graduate, or a St.Andrews graduate.

UK: SCUBA help needed urgently please? We Answered:
Just a thought outside the box - if you have tried the dive shops themselves and not had any luck, have you tried the dive clubs themselves? Maybe help out at club training sessions, club meets? Maybe even get some boat handling skills into the process. There are also underwater photography shops in Bristol. Maybe a back door way into diving?

LOL, hey its England, it always rains here one minute then the next its sunny!! I don't personally live there myself but every time I have visited I just love the place and would like to move there myself one day. Its Birmingham, it amazing, look it up on the internet and see what you think. Much better than London, its so clean and just amazing. Good luck with your decision.Katie Said:
