Teaching Jobs In Maryland

Daisy Said:

Baltimore, Maryland: What do you have to say about it?

We Answered:

I wouldn't recommend working in the inner-city of Baltimore. I love the city, and the harbor is great, but the school system can be intimidating and scary. There are many very nice areas to live in Baltimore city however, Canton is an up and coming area were a lot of young professionals are moving to. I hear it's nice.

I'd recommend, however, maybe working in one of the Baltimore suburbs. Baltimore county has a great school system, and nice places to live, but depending on where you go, the cost of living can get expensive. Dundalk and Essex aren't bad however, but if you'd rather work in say, Towson, you might have trouble finding a place to live on a teacher's salary.

Other than Baltimore county and Baltimore city, there are many other great places to live and work in the suburbs surrounding Baltimore city. Look into Anne Arundel County! We've got a pretty decent school system, and we're definitely always looking for teachers, so you would be able to get a job. You can find some very nice, affordable areas to live in. Plus, it's right in between Baltimore City and Annapolis, so there's a lot to do and see. Lot's of opportunities.

Does anyone know the most reliable and complete source(s) for finding a teaching job in Pennsylvania?

We Answered:

It's a tough job market in PA, but I've heard there are a few growing markets in some ofthe northern suburbs.... a few districts are even building some new schools.

There's a website I used to belong to a couple of years ago-- it had education job listings.... and it also had connections good information on reciprocity & liscence transfer.... it's a subscription site, but it wasn't expensive and had lots of good information. If you're interested, you can find it by going to: http://www.teachinginterview.com and then scrolling down and looking for the education job link.

Good luck on your move and your job search.

Margaret Said:

can I still teach in the state of MAryland despite these misdemmeanors?

We Answered:

Are being honest with us? Your spelling and grammar is poor hopefully no one from the school in Maryland where you want to teach is reading this post. Since I am not convinced you are being honest and for me it is difficult to say as I am still confused in regard to if you are teaching in Maryland as a Spanish teacher. If you are then why are you asking? Can you please clarify your question?
