Teaching Jobs In Mississippi

Jessie Said:

Chance to change jobs?

We Answered:

It depends on the direction you want to take. I am Christian and I always pray and ask God for revelation before making a big decision. Just look for signs as to the best place for you to serve the best purpose for your life. Stay strong in your decision, it may be hard, but worth it in the long run, when it is the right decision.

Jesus Said:

Child development courses. and help with picking the right school.?

We Answered:

To teach Kindergarten you need a 4 year BS degree with an emphasis in early childhood. You need to be a licensed teacher so I guess I would see which of those programs offer that. If it is a tech degree - that would mean you could do something in a day care or preschool but NOT a public K unless you were an aide.

Find a reputable 4 year teacher preparation school ( a state university is the best choice) and know that for some states a teaching degree is 5 years.

Shane Said:

I am a convicted felon attempting to reenter the workforce in mississippi. I need advice?

We Answered:

I just answered something very similar, so you get the shorter version.

Get over it. I have two felonies and make a great living. Felonies aren't the end of the world. Once you realize and get over it, you'll see that other people don't care as much as you think.

Grants to start your own business? Felonies may not be that tough of an obstacle to getting a job, but I doubt anyone is just dying to throw money at us and hope we'll be responsible and trustworthy.

Teaching? Everywhere is different, but I'd doubt it.

Kelly Said:

Will a teacher taking antidepressants have trouble finding a job?

We Answered:

Why would that fact be relevant to your application? You don't need to disclose it.

Ellen Said:

How can I catch up on my bills? Creditors are calling me night and day? What do I do?

We Answered:

Oh dear! You really are a wonderful woman doing all that with two little children. Its women like you who should make us all proud. Anyway, here is what to do. Sit down and do an income/outgoings chart - microsoft office on line templates have a great one. Make sure you are as accurate as possible. When you have filled in all the things you absolutely must have to survive, look and see if there is anything left. What is left is what you can pay to the creditors. You then have to ring each one and make some sort of arrangement to pay - it has to be sensible and within your means. See if there are any who will defer you paying back so that you can deal with other debts first. Ensure that banks/credit cards etc stop adding interest to your loans and overdrafts. Some people get a large loan and pay back everything they owe but I am afraid this should be a last resort as the interest rates are hellish and you end up paying back double what you borrowed. If you approach each creditor sensibly, you need not borrow anymore. You may have to live skinny for a time but while your children are little, they wont notice. Keep plugging away to look at ways of increasing your income e.g. tutoring. I think that you are bright, strong, and resilient and that this will be a challenge but nothing that will bring you down.
