Teaching Jobs In New York
Richard Said:
Teaching Italian in New York, can you help me?We Answered:
The best thing you can do is contact the school board. Ask them what credentials are required and if they have a way to check yours. Where I teach, we have a teachers' qualifying service that checks everyone's credentials and determines what level(s) you are qualified to teach. If you have a degree from Italy, it is probably considered a masters here, no? If so, you could also contact some higher institutions and ask the same question.
In my city (in Canada), we have an Italian Cultural Centre. They help new immigrants from Italy to find jobs and hire teachers to work at the centre.
Buona fortuna!
Yolanda Said:
Teaching jobs and how to get them?We Answered:
PLEASE. For your sake and mine, DO NOT BECOME A HIGH SCHOOL SOCIAL STUDIES TEACHER.The United States of America has millions of more teachers than she needs in the following areas: English, Social Studies, and Visual and Performing Arts.
Instead, why don't you consider one of the following subjects, where there are many more teaching positions: Business Studies, Mathematics, Sciences, Spanish, and Technology.
