Teaching Study Skills

Derek Said:

Help me with this please?

We Answered:

Social skills-The best experience is learning the child and what makes him/her tick. Not everything works for every child. There is always room for improvement. I am going to have to agree with the first comment though, you are goingto have to do your own work:-)

Potential teaching jobs..need opinions?

We Answered:

The dilemmas in teaching are the ones you raised in the question about potential teaching jobs. You already have explored one of them. That is deciding which level that you liked and seemed to offer the most benefits. Your choice appears to be what was once called junior high school Now however,.it is called either middle school or high school, The middle school would be grades 6-8th grades and the high school would be 9-12th grades To become a middle school teacher in some states, there may not be a curriculum or set of courses different from that of a middle school. Instead, there would be two or three courses in the pre-adolescent psychology child, middle school curriculum, and middle school teaching, and two internship experiences. That may be almost the same to become a high school teacher. There would be several courses taken in adolescent psychology, the high school curriculum, high school teaching and two internship experiences. After graduating from college with an education major, the middle school teacher and the high school teacher both receive licenses recognizing that the state has approved their programs and allows them to be employed by public schools as teachers. Private schools do not have the same requirements as teachers in the public schools. They usually have fewer requirements, less salary, no health insurance, no retirement benefits, and no school counselors or school social workers.

To become a school counselor, the same process occurs. Enrollment in a college, sign up for the program in education and counselor education particularly. The curriculum for school counselors includes more psychology and more sociology that the curriculum for middle or high school teachers. It may not, however, include that a teaching certificate or teaching experience is necessary to be a school counselor. There will be internship experiences at different levels and those will be concentrated in counseling not teaching. There would be several more courses related to counseling and it would take a longer time to complete the counseling program than the middle school or high school teaching programs.

A school social worker program also would take a longer period of time to complete, it would probably on top of the social work program in which you are already enrolled. It may also include just several more courses in education and different internship experiences. You should inquire about a school social work program with your current program advisor,

Where In Atlanta can I learn IT skills for just a few months? For cheap?

We Answered:

Google IT schools in Atlanta and see what comes up. Its actually going to take a little detective work for you. May I ask why you won't start in the Spring?

Another good thing, and depending on how much you want to learn, get a CompTIA book from your looking book store.

I plan on attending school in the spring to get my A+ Certification, but in the meantime I purchased CompTIA A + Ceritification book to begin studying on my own.

Hope that helps a bit.
