How do I receive a valid Texas teaching assistant certificate? We Answered:
Apply with a public independent school district in Texas as a "paraprofessional" teacher, and they will sponsor your certificate and you will receive a small compensation during the time you are working in the school.Andy Said:

how to get a teaching certificate in texas? We Answered:
The process is very simple due to the having of a Bachelor degree. Go to the TEA website, http://www.tea.state.tx.us/, and then go to A - Z Index. Once there go to Educational Service Centers and open the link. You will find an interactive map of Texas with each Educational Service Center. Each service center has an alternative educational program they use. Click where s/he desires to work and then on the alternative certification link. There is a requirement the individual going through work for the district where the alternative certification was done for a minimum of two years.Hope this helps ...

How would I get a teaching certificate in Texas if I already have a bachelors degree in psychology? We Answered:
Samt way I did! I have a bachelor's degree in Psychology and I am a teacher in the Dallas ISD. I called A+ Texas Teachers (an alternative certification program) had my transcrit sent to them, took the test for the area I wanted to teach(English/Language Arts 4-8) and found a job teaching. I am now taking the classes with A+ Texas Teachers that tells you about classroom management etc and I have a job teaching. This first year is my internship year (I am still paid the same thing as a teacher that went to college to teach) and at the end of the school year I will take the test to recieve my permanent certification. It is a really easy process...and A+ Texas Teacher's is in all of the major Texas cities(Dallas, Austin, Houston, SA....)Holly Said:
Will my Maryland Standard Teaching Certificate allow me to teach in Texas? We Answered:
Hi! I am a teacher in Texas and I am not sure if your certificate allows you to teach here. However, here is the state certification website: www.sbec.state.tx.us/I'm sure it will help. Best of luck!
Brent Said:
Has anyone in Texas ever had their teaching certificate not renewed by the district? We Answered:
Here isn Florida - you get renewed if you have met the renewal requirements...it doesn't matter if you resign a job of not. If you did something bad - then they could take action on your certificate...but they don't do that just cause you resign one job...I would think TX would be the same... the state renews you...you should be able to go straight through them if you are not employeed by the district at the time renweal application.
