Wisconsin Teaching Jobs

Leona Said:

Please read the first chapter of my novel...=) (fantasy)?

We Answered:

I liked this. It definitely sounds like something that would come from a teenager's POV--as anyone over 20 probably wouldn't know...*cough, cough*

I could connect with your character, though I'm a girl, I know guys who are like this. C=

It was good, flowed and I didn't stumble while reading it. I couldn't see any obvious grammar/spelling errors.

What type of fantasy are you planning, if I may ask???

All in all, I liked it. Keep on writing.

Sidney Said:

Are any teachers in Wisconsin having a hard time finding a job?

We Answered:

I think it is tough everywhere right now. I know my district in Kansas is growing, however, we had reductions in teaching positions this year. Budget constraints are making it very tough for anyone new to get hired on. Districts are preferring to manipulate what they have and move people within the district already to other buildings when necessary. I went through this when I exited college in 2002. It seems to be repeating cycle. Also don't fret quite yet. I wasn't hired until mid-July. Many good teachers I know were in the same boat. School districts will even continue to hire after the school year has started when they have final enrollment tallies. Sit tight and the jobs will come if you are qualified.

I Live in Wisconsin and currently attending school to be a teacher. I want to move where it's warm-sunny.?

We Answered:

Florida always has a big event (June I think) called Teach in Florida. Try looking it up online. Florida doesn't pay as much as other states but the cost of living is less (than say NYS)

Clarence Said:

I love Wisconsin?

We Answered:

Sorry. I live in Wisconsin and I learned about evolution, as did all of my family.

I would have guessed some place in the south would be the farthest behind.

I wouldn't have pegged Wis as particularly religious either. Perhaps it's just poor (as in bad) school systems.

Also, there are a lot of Catholics in Wisconsin. At least it seems that way to me. And don't Catholics endorse evolution?

Darren Said:

Wanting to move to Wisconsin...?

We Answered:

You'd have to make some calls or visits to find out for sure, But I do believe they are. At least in Milwaukee.
