Linda Said:

Which would be better for me to attend: UC Santa Cruz or Abilene Christian University?

We Answered:

Neither one is going to give you any advantage when applying to law school. Law schools don't really care what your undergraduate institution was unless you attended an ivy or prestigious non-ivy like Stanford, and even then the boost is minimal and not at every school.

If you end up deciding not to go to law school, then your decision should not only come down to the strength of the programs and the cost of attendance, but also where you want to work after graduation. Texas or California?

As a side note, I have visited the UC Santa Cruz campus and it's absolutely beautiful. The campus is enormous and looks like national park with lots of trees and hiking trails. There's also an amazing view of the ocean from the school. Santa Cruz is a very cute little town, too, and the boardwalk is right there. I don't know, maybe I'm biased because I live in California, but I would choose Santa Cruz in a heartbeat.

Jeffery Said:

Is the college Abilene Christian University a Good one?

We Answered:

I think Texas A&M is better. Not just because i go there. But statistically starting salaries of A&M grads are even higher than UT grads.

Kathy Said:

I got into graduate school at Abilene Christian University and will be living there for two years..how is it?

We Answered:

I went there, loved my experience. I was able to have small classes. It is a very religious school, as the name suggests. As a graduate student, it is not as strict as the undergraduate experience (no required chapel). You are expected to abide by school rules (no drinking). I shared many of my upper-level undergrad classes with graduate students (additional requirements for the grad students.)

Abilene is a nice town. It is small compared to Dallas or Houston, but it has everything you need. It's been 10 years since I was there. There is alot of off campus housing available close to the school. To go across town, it took 20 minutes. It's a college & church town.

I don't know your background or what you are looking for. If you are Church of Christ, want a Christian atmosphere along with your education - ACU is great...If you are not looking for a religious university, it may not be the place for you.

Joanne Said:

Which college should I attend? I am stuck between ACU (Abilene Christian University) or Mizzou?

We Answered:

Mizzou has a top rated journalism program and its a ton of fun. I say go there!

Joel Said:

Abilene Christian University?

We Answered:

cons (to me)
-Not very religious and most activites on campus are based around religion
-Not much to do in Abilene
-City is ultra conservative & if you wanna live any kind of "alternative" lifestyle you'll be an outsider
-Not much diversity, everyone is very similer

pros (to me)
-everyone is very nice
-campus itself is very pretty
-academic facilities are very impressive
-athletic teams are very good (especially for a school of its size)
-respectable school academically
-the school is very close and people will accept you in there "cliques" IF you are a die hard christian
