Walter Said:

Glasgow Caledonian or Edinburgh Napier University?

We Answered:

Zomg. Caley is rubbish. Just as bad as UWS.

Clown college.

I go to UWS so I should know!

EDIT: LOLOLOL UWS and Caley are rubbish. No denying it. Employers much rather a Glasgow uni degree over them sadly.

Edwin Said:

Anyone doing Interior Architecture at Edinburgh Napier University?

We Answered:

Not really feasible to do two courses at the same time. If you are interested in Interior Architecture Napier sounds your best option. If you do well there, you could look at the option of transferring to the College of Art the following year - but you may well want to stay where you are. Napier was previously a polytechnic - which are often better for highly vocational course like you are wanting to do - reputations for schools vary all the time and most employers can't keep up. The important thing will be a good portfolio and result at the end of it all (and to have had fun doing it). I would choose Edinburgh over Glasgow as a place to live, although that would be purely personal.

Harold Said:

Any students here go to Napier University in Edinburgh?

We Answered:

Don't go to Edinburgh Napier University. Quite plainly, it's ****. You'll learn more on your twenty minute train journey (followed by another half hour on a bus) than you're likely to in a day of lectures.

The campuses are spread out all over Edinburgh, so you'll need a bus pass and lots of time to waste getting to and from classes. If you drive, you're not allowed in the car parks unless you apply for a parking permit, which isn't free.

The main arts and creative industries campus is a three mile walk from the nearest cash machine, so if you're hungry and in a hurry, forget it.

The student union has a post-apocalyptic vibe to it.

If you're doing a degree just for the 'bit of paper', then Napier is the place to go, because you won't get anything else out of it.

You will be given reading lists which often require you to buy your own books because the libraries are either understocked or don't have the reading material at all.

Napier students are not people, they are numbers.

The library computers are well below par, using XP and a Beta version of Outlook as the primary email service for all students and staff. Email and online learning services are frequently down.

Save yourself four years of waiting for an education and apply somewhere else.

Warren Said:

When does Edinburgh Napier University start issuing offers for LLB Hons Law?

We Answered:

Usually the first or second week of February as long as you made the application deadline. But call the admissions office if you want to double check.

What kind of reputation does Napier University (Edinburgh) have overall? I'm foreign and planning on applying.

We Answered:

well, as far as universities in edinburgh are concerned, The University of Edinburgh is generally considered to have the best reputation. However, Napier does have a good reputation. It depends on what course you're applying for tbh, Napier is highly recommended for it's journalism courses and business school.

As for edinburgh in general, it's a lovely city and you would have a great time. So beautiful and historic
