It seems odd. From your description I guess u have completed M.C.A. What do u mean by MS? There are only two options for higher studies after M.C.A; M.Phil or PHD. Anna University is the best. Then there is Loyola college - Loyola has good faculty and Infrastructure. You could look at MCC too. In my opinion try Anna university or Loyola College

Assuming that the column either has a number corresponding to UCAS points or something like AAB then yes, that is exactly what they mean. In general courses like medicine and law have higher requirements than average, universities like Oxbridge can demand higher requirements than one of the old polytechnics.

Don't forget that going to visit the university and department, looking at the prospectus, and the course you want to study are all very important too. (I'd say much more so!!!).
