No it's not a big party school. It's a moderate size school in the middle of PA. Its up to you whether or not you're determined to get an education. If you hang around focus minded people you'll be okay, if you hang around people who smoke and drink and skip classes then most of those people won't finish school. As far as races you should be able to find that out on the schools website. The good thing is that it's only about an hour drive to Penn State main campus, so if you want to go to another school to party there's no better place than State College.

Im sorry that I dont have an answer for you're question, but this is a response to the first answer. There is no need to put the name of the state when you ask for an airport close to Williamsport and State College. And when you are asking for directions to Lock Haven University, theres only 1, and it is in Pennsylvania. Also, almost everyone knows State College is home to Penn State University, which so happens to be in Pennsylvania. If you dont know that, then you probably would have no idea what airport is near Lock Haven University anyway, which means there is no need to answer the question......Actually now that i think about it, there is an airport in State College. And State College is only about 40 mins away from LHU, I hope that helps. Oh and Lock Haven is a few hours from NYC
