Loyola Marymount University

Marcia Said:

Which school is more prestigious- Loyola Marymount University or University of San Francisco?

We Answered:

I don't think either fall under the category of "prestigious" at all to be honest.

Your best bet is to go to a community college for two years, save a ton of money, take the same exact classes, and transfer to a world class school in California.

For example: UCLA accepts about 24% of high school applicants, but 44% of all California CC transfers.

The Berkeley Haas School of Business accepts roughly 7% of all applicants, but I was told by a Berkeley admissions officer that a good amount of those that apply don't even meet the requirements. So that makes the real acceptance rate near 20%.

Good luck in whatever you decide!

Transferring to Loyola Marymount University?

We Answered:

Go to their website, click on admissions and see what they have to say about transfer students. Some schools accept very few transfer students, while others are happy to accept them.

Can freshmen have cars at loyola marymount university?

We Answered:

Unless they've changed it for next year, yes, you can have a car at LMU. I worked there for 19 years, until last July, and freshmen were always allowed to have cars on campus.

Dolores Said:

Bonnie Said:

Is the Loyola Marymount University good school?

We Answered:

It's a private school. It is also a great school. Any private schools offer rigourous educations so don't do it if your not committed. I attend scu and it is really tough. However, I already have a well paying job lined up after I graduate and I'm only a junior. You will also develop a lot of contacts into the business world.
