Lester Said:

criteria of getting a bachelors course in the university of melbourne?

We Answered:

Congratulations on getting an offer from one of Australia's most prestigious universities! I've been to their Parkville campus many times and rate it as the nicest (especially in terms of history and location) in Victoria - and I'm sure it rates highly within Australia too.

As you've been accepted into the BEng, you'll be able to choose your major after your first year - this allows you to try-out the various disciplines and find out which one you like most (It's not always the one you pick first!). As their website says:
"The first year of the Bachelor of Engineering is common for all students. This allows students to develop their interest and understanding of engineering before choosing one of the disciplines offered within the degree. There are two compulsory subjects for all first year students: Engineering Systems Design 1 & Engineering Systems Design 2"

Please also be advised the undergraduate course, Bachelor of Engineering, is being phased out by the University - and the last intake of students will be first-semester 2010. This will mean you'll be one of the last lots of students to be eligible to receive the "Bachelor of Engineering" from this university.

Is doing the UMAT at other universities better, or GAMSAT in melbourne university?

We Answered:

Take the harder test and the one which is more applicable to different unversities this way it will look better and if you change your mind on universities you can easily switch. Also in many occasions if you talk to the counselors they can allow you in certain programs even if you dont meet the requirements just because you took a harder test. Good luck on your exams!

Should I go to La Trobe or Melbourne University?

We Answered:

At the end of the day, once you graduate from uni all you receive is your diploma which both unis are going to give you. Apparently, Melbourne uni has introduced something called the "melbourne model" that makes it take longer to graduate. Despite La Trobe not being the best uni in the state, it seems as though you would be more happy being with friends and the convenience is good too.

Mathew Said:

what enter score do you need to get if you want to get into a civil engineering course at melbourne university?

We Answered:

Melbourne uni only has a 'Engineering course'.
Looking at last years offers the clearly in ENTER was 85.70
However this may change for this year's year 12 students. But most likely it'll stay about the same it may go up or down by the decimal

Carlos Said:

hey friends! In melbourne which universities have these courses?

We Answered:

Refrigeration and air conditioning is a trade course not a university course. You would need to go to a TAFE college not a university. A Diploma in electronics engineering is more likely to be a TAFE course than a university course as well. You might find a course at either Swinburne Institute of Technology or the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. I'd check with them.

All Universities cost the same if you are offered a place, you have to pay HECS but it can be deferred. If you are buying a place expect to pay through the nose.
