It will not get you set to director your movie... but it would definitely give you a lot of knowledge.... perhaps they will help you in certain aspects, such as finding a job with a movie.... And if you work hard, you might direct your own movie someday...

Emerson-More hands on approach, you will be making films quicker, only have to take film related classes, lower acceptance standards--> SOME of the people around you may not be as experienced and talented, more personal feel
