Seth Said:

are New zealand universities hard to get into if you are an international student?

We Answered:

Apart from the top schools that is listed in the world, e.g. Yale, Havard...all other schools will state their requirement, as long as you meet their requirement academically, there is no reason that they should reject you, regardless of whether you are a local student or an international student.

Australia and new zealand universities?

We Answered:

Sorry, there doesn't seem to be a single search engine, but each state of Australia except Tasmania has one: (I didn't look at NZ)

NSW www.uac.edu.au
Vic www.vtac.edu.au
Qld www.qtac.edu.au
SA and NT www.satac.edu.au
WA www.tisc.edu.au

It's bewildering isn't it, even for Aussies. I would suggest you pick a city you would like to stay in, and then look at the unis in that city, otherwise there are just too many options. I don't think there are any dodgy ones, but some are bigger than others, some have more international students etc. The oldest universities in the biggest cities are the most prestigious, but I wouldn't necessarily say they were better.

Once you have narrowed it down to a couple of course options and a couple of unis then ask again about them - I suggest asking in 'travel, Australia' as that's where most Aussies on YA answer Australian questions.

Good luck

Theodore Said:

are the tuition fees in all the new zealand universities the same?

We Answered:

They do differ a bit because each uni sets it's own fees. But, most are not far apart (currently around NZ$4500 to $5000 for a full-time year of undergraduate science papers for kiwis (domestic students)).

If you are trying to decide between them - I'd go more by reputation of the course. If you know someone who's done it previously, they'd be a good place to start.

I've included sites with info about courses at Otago, Auckland and Massey - along with info about their fees for this year - hope that helps with your decision. Good luck.
