Jeanne Said:

Should I go to Denver University or University of Colorado at Denver?

We Answered:

I have lived in Denver for 15 years and went to school at the University of Colorado in Boulder. I have also taken two courses at CU-Denver (also known as UCD).
I have had one friend who attended DU... meaning I have basically no personal experience there... but I went to high school just down the street from their campus and so am familiar with the area and the buildings.

I have no idea which would be best for your area of study, you'll have to wait to hear more about that.

However, I have heard about a great difference in tuition, you may want to check this out before you go any farther. Out of state tuition for anyone in Colorado is going to be high, so maybe that puts UCD and DU on similar levels... not sure.

Personally, I like both campuses, but neither is as nice as CU Boulder, but I am biased as well.

I think you may have misspelled part of your question... you said theology... did you mean theory?
Again, I have no grounds to answer that question, just thought I would help you to clarify.

How does Bergen county NJ justify paying Police Officers 6 figure incomes?

We Answered:

It's simply corruption corruption corruption. Gov'ts take in about 60% of all the money made in this country and since up to 70% of their budgets are simply overpaid and overbenifitted employees it means you are just being taxed to support Gov't employees lavish life styles. It's completely out of control and pretty soon it would probably just lead to anarchy when people start using violence to protect what is theirs. Overall it is completely disgusting and is the case with every single Gov't in this country down to the smallest town/city Gov't. Taking to support their easy life.

Could I get into Vanderbilt University based on my record?

We Answered:

With your grades, you're not going to get into Vandy unless you have some kind of special hook ie legacy or minority status. You might be able to barely get into UT, but, given your rank, I wouldn't count on it.

I'd check out SMU, which has a similar atmosphere as Vandy, but not nearly as selective. Other schools in Texas to possibly look at would be Trinity University, Texas A&M, TCU, Baylor and Southwestern University.

Given your academic resume, I'd also recommend that you check out some Liberal Arts Colleges. Maybe Washington & Lee or University of Richmond or say a Scripps College.

Right track to University of Pennsylvania (and other Ivies)? Do I have a good chance? Suggestions?

We Answered:

Impressive resume, I must say. You would get accepted into probably all of the schools because your GPA and standardized test scores are awesome. My suggestion to you is that you should check out the links below so that you can get a first hand idea about these schools.
There you will also get to read reviews written by students who go there and other relevant information (last date for admissions).

Emma Said:

Do colleges/universities know which high schools are harder than others?

We Answered:

Hey they definitely do!
They get a piece of paper that shows the grading scale, how many ap classes are offered, how many students take how many number of ap classes on avg, the average SAT scores, avg gpa distributions etc!

So they are fully aware that your schools is a more difficult school and highly competitve through these measures, not to mention that if your school is top 10 in the state then they are probably already aware of the caliber of your school.

Your unweighted gpa will probably increase over the next two years ( I am assuming you are a sophomore/junior) and I would definitely recommend that you increase your SAT scores.. though that is definitely a commendable score on your PSAT!

This is slighty off topic, but I can't stress how important it is to make sure you are also well rounded (involved in extra curriculars and staying commited over the course of the four years etc). There will be many students w/ your grades and scores, but they are looking for those who stick out at a more personal level, and extra curriculars etc are one way they can asses this! :)

gl and don't sweat it, you will be just fine! :)
