Which universities in Ontario are the best to go to for science? We Answered:
U of Toronto rules all!Anita Said:
What are my chances for Ontario Universities? We Answered:
Most universities look only at grade 12, so there is still hope.Guy Said:
which ontario universities are in a busy downtown type environment? We Answered:
I'm not sure what you think a "small town" is. Almost none of Ontario's universities are in small towns. Lakehead, Nipissing and Laurentian are the only ones I can think of that are outside of the major urban areas.Ryerson and U of T are both in Toronto as well.
U of Ottawa and Carleton are in Ottawa.
McMaster is in Hamilton, certainly not a small town.
Queens is in Kingston.
Those are, I suppose, the biggest towns...but none of the others are in small towns either. If you grew up in Toronto, maybe you just have no idea what towns outside of the GTA are actually like.

Which of these Ontario Universities has the best University experience? We Answered:
Ryerson isn't a real university. Unless you're going for a specific program (usually tech-related), I'd pass. Same goes for UOIT.York has a reputation for being English-as-a-second-language. Not a whole lot of palefaces. I don't know if that's an issue for you or not. Some people are cool with it. Some would hate it.
I have a family member at Brock, living in residence, and he hates it. He says the people are boring, they're all hicks, the frosh week was pathetic and there aren't any parties. To be fair, he's pretty boring, so it might just be him. But I'd be cautious about it.
I've heard good things about Guelph, but it also tends to attract a rural crowd. The phrase "cow college" has been tossed around a few times. But the people who go tend to have fun.
U of T is hate-it-or-love-it. Huge university and classes, no real campus, lots of people speaking lots of languages and just doing their own thing. Some people love it. I had a roommate who spent his freshman year at U of T and hated it. He transferred to Western (where I went) and had a great time. He was ridiculously cool. Everybody loved him. The fact that he couldn't make friends at U of T bothers me. I'd have to recommend against it as well.
The best party schools, by reputation, are Western, Laurier, and probably Carleton. I know a lot of people who went to each of them. They were all cool and they all had an amazing time. I'm not really sure why they aren't on your list (maybe distance, maybe courses, maybe marks) but I'd recommend giving them a second look. Queens likes to think it's a party school- it's not, it's full of ***holes.
Wherever you go, as long as you're cool, you'll meet people and have a good time. There are people who went to and loved every single school in Ontario. Even Windsor. And the random group of people who wind up living on your floor will have way more influence on your experience than almost any other factor, and that's impossible to predict.
Good luck.

Which are the best psychology undergrad ontario universities? We Answered:
Waterloo and Western Ontario are pretty good, but there may be differences depending on what area of psych you intend to pursue. However, those differences won't likely matter much until you reach the graduate level.Erin Said:
Which universities in Ontario would be best for becoming a chiropractor? We Answered:
It doesn't really matter. Chiropractor is not offered as an undergrad in any University in OntarioTo become a Chiropractor, one must first have an undergraduate university degree, then complete four years at an accredited Chiropractic college. There are several Chiropractic colleges throughout Ontario each recommending (not required) applicants to have completed one full course in organic chemistry and biology, one half-course in introductory psychology, and one humanities and/or social sciences at the University level along with completing their undergrad. It is then they are considered admission to Chiro college to practice to becoming a licensed chiropractor
