Kenneth Said:
How do I Transfer Universities? UK Only?We Answered:
Hey first contact the University I did a transfer from Oxford to Camb. it works but you will have to apply over UCAS again.Jesse Said:
Is Citizenship AS/A Level worth any UCAS points at good universities? (UK)?We Answered:
It is accepted by all of the top universities and worth the same amount of UCAS points as the other A Levels (with the exception of GS and, depending on the uni, Critical Thinking). Just like other subjects, an A grade is worth 120 UCAS points, B 100, C 80 etc. though I'm not sure about the A* but logically one would assume it is worth 140 points. Most, though not all, do not except Critical Thinking except Cambridge, who only accept it as a fourth or fifth A Level. Last time I checked Oxford, Imperial, LSC and UCL did not accept it, but I could be wrong. But (and this is a big 'but'), the top universities do NOT want UCAS points, they want either A*AA or AAA as your full grades.
It is important to note here that you cannot apply to both Cambridge and Oxford unless you already have a degree and plan to do another one. I am assuming you are either a GCSE or AS student so to be accepted at the three you mentioned you need AAAA at AS (they ask for AAA but they prefer 4 As as so many people are now getting AAA who now apply at said unis) and mainly As at GCSE.
Good luck. If you have any questions email me or just add details to the question as I always check.
Craig Said:
Will the Universities (UK) that offer nursing course accept ESOL?Please Help!!!!?We Answered:
Hi KitKat,You will need to contact each university that you are interested in applying to ask that question. As far as I am aware most UK universities require IELTS and UK Immigration requires proof of English proficiency for any student visa issued. This means you will need to have the English skills along with grades, classes, and financing for nursing school as a foreign student. Without all of this getting a student visa and being accepted will not happen.
