Universities love it, but you shouldn't do it (as some of my friends are) just to look good on your CV, For example, I've volunteered with a pack of Rainbows (Girlguiding) for a year now, and that's not me trying to get stuff for UCAS and my CV, that's me trying to repay everything I got out of guiding. Similarly, you shouldn't do D of E just because it will look good. Do it because you want to, and then you'll enjoy it far more.

No they are more interested in your academic results and career interest. Universities have their own websites so email them to get help. UCAS.co.uk is very helpful.

The trouble is that the market is being flooded by young people with (often meaningless) degrees and even at the best of economic times there wouldn't have been jobs available to cope with the demand. It is necessary in society for people to be working at all levels of job, from warehouse working right up to prime minister.

Unfortunately the powers that be decree that those with the best jobs should be those with the money, not those with the capacity.

r u crazy...its UK.high quality education in short time...prepare u for working with no competition...come on man its UK the empire of knowledge.But it's really hard to cover the university fees and life expenses unless you are a millioner especially as an international student :( !!! i got a scholarship i'm going to study in UK after two weeks :D.good luck for you too.
