Can I transfer to a good American University in my second year from the University of Auckland? We Answered:
It is not difficult to transfer to a university in the USA from NZ , since NZ universities are held in high regard in the USA.I am not sure what you mean by "good university". If you mean Harvard, Yale, Columbia etc as being 'good' then you will have to have the highest possible grades in your studies so far to have any chance for being admitted.
Remember that the American system is quite different to the NZ higher education system. The former requires four years, the first two of which will cover general education courses which will be English Composition, History, general science, Calculus and several other general courses. This is not the case in NZ where you focus on courses that are all relevant to your major. If you are happy with that difference, then go ahead and apply
Be aware also of the significant course and living expenses in the USA. I trust that you or your parents are capable of paying these fees.
It might be better for you to maybe spend a year at an American university as an exchange student. Check Auckland Uni whether they have a program for student exchange in the USA.
Hope this helps.

What's Massey University, Auckland/ NZ, like?We Answered:
I have a friend there doing a Bachelor of food science and he loves it. He says the lecturers are great and they get to do some really interesting things. I'm at the University of Auckland and love it. There's not so much of a collective vibe but I enjoy the education I am getting.Roland Said:
CHEAP BUSINESS UNIVERSITY AUCKLAND?We Answered:
I studied a NZ Diploma in Business then followed up with a Bachelor of Business Studies, however went to UNITEC Institute of Technologies. The fee seems about correct, however it applies only to local students. From memory, my fees were about NZD14,000. You can try to see if you can apply for a scholarship, I got my one with UNITEC which means that my studies were free. Otherwise, look into the following websites. That's not all of them, just the ones on top of my head:- Auckland Uni
- UNITEC Institute of Technology
- AUT
- MIT
- Massey Uni
- The Open Polytechnic (extramural)
