Leon Said:

Is the university of Cape Town a credible post grad medical research place?

We Answered:

I am sure it would be fine.
But if you have the grades and papers.
I would come to the USA for medicine.
Columbia in NY would be one and NYU as well.
They are great schools.
Also in the US, maybe you could get some student loans and defray your costs.
Best wishes.

How much is tuition at the University of Cape Town, South Africa?

We Answered:

You can look at the fees from this link http://www.uct.ac.za/apply/fees/structur… and even contact the Fees Office directly by e-mail. Then you can use the currency converter on Yahoo Finance http://finance.yahoo.com/currency?u to see how much it will be in US dollars.

Willard Said:

Anyone studying @ University of Cape Town in South Africa?

We Answered:

I don't know anything about the engineering faculty.

Regarding residences: it depends quite a bit on the particular res. If you are looking for a Stellenbosch-esque drunken student fest, College House should suit you. Smuts is a beautiful Ivy League-alike res on Upper Campus - right in between all the lecture theatres - that's more well-behaved and studious. Marquard is alright (like College House but less rowdy). I can't remember any of the others. I flunked out, see. :D

Jessie Said:

Is University of Cape Town in South Africa recognised in Europe, Australia and United States?

We Answered:

Certain degrees are and certain degrees are not. I know for your Law degrees to be recognised you have to do a "bridging course" in the UK and USA. I think Australia as well.

Terry Said:

How is a post-graduate degree from the University of Cape Town valued internationally?

We Answered:

Hiya,

All UCT qualifications are internationally recognized.
In 2009 The Financial Times ranked it as the 71st best MBA in the world (quite a high rank)... there are a couple of mba rankings online, just look around.. but uct's definitely is accepted internationally (its one a very select few African MBA's that are)
I'm currently an Under Grad at UCT....
An i absolutely love it, its a nice university in a great city....

Hope this helps....
Peace
