My mother went there--when it was Evansville College. She got graduate degrees elsewhere and wound up working for the State Dept and then teaching at Columbia University, so I guess Evansville gave her a good start. But a long time ago!

While searching the web, I could find no other information.

I saw the Purple Aces take the court in the mid 60's. They had a great basketball reputation and their purple uniforms were stunning.

Hi.
First, in full disclosure, I'm an admissions staff member at Bradley. So, that given, I offer some, hopefully, balanced advice.

1.) Evansville and Bradley are both good schools. If anyone suggests that one is better, it is simply a subjective perspective unless you exam the strengths of the two schools in relation to your interests. Find our from their websites if either or both have the majors, minors, student organizations ot other important programs that matter most to you. The two schools have as many differences as similarities.
2.) Compare their biggest differences. For example, Bradley is twice the size of Evansville.
3.) Visit both. When you visit both, they feel so different that it should really help in the final decision.
4.) Dig into the website of your preferred major at both schools. Does either school offer courses, labs, facilities or special experiences in your major that aren't available at the other school?
If I offered more advice, I might sound a bit more biased. Of course, I am. So, given my natural preference for Bradley, I simply suggest that you look for the school that fits best. The steps above will help immensely. I invite you to visit Bradley at your convenience and I promise that we will answer all of your questions before you leave. However, as importantly, you wil have a simple feel for campus which should be instrumental in your final decisions.
