What are your opinions on Concordia University in Montreal? We Answered:
I don't know anything about the school but if you are intrested in it it must be a cool place.Think about your decision long and hard and don't just choose the school in Canada because you want to live there. Consider all aspects such as education, family, and friends that love you and would do anthing for you.
We all know it is your dream to reside in your hometown but just think about it...it would completely change everything in your life right now whether you like to admit it or not.
But it seems like you are looking for that kind of change anyways.
The most important thing to remember is that this is your life. It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks or says about the schools because it is up to YOU. Don't let anyone persuade you either way (including myself) because no matter where you choose we will always love you. Happiness is the most important thing and as painful as it is to say it, I think you would be happy there.
Good luck with your decision
I love you,
Sara Bara

What public transportation goes from Montreal Airport to University of Montreal (Cote de Neiges area)? We Answered:
The #204 Cardinal bus goes from the airport to Dorval Station. From there, take the commuter train to Vendome Station, where you can transfer to the Orange Line bound for Cote-Vertu. Take that two stops to Snowdon, then transfer to the Blue Line. Depending on where you need to go, you could get off at Cote-des-Neiges, UdeM or Edouard-Montpetit.Edna Said:
Which is the more fun Uni to go on exchange? Mcgill University, Montreal or University of Texas, Austin? We Answered:
That depends on where you currently live, what languages you speak, and what kind of experience you want.McGill is a wonderful university in Montreal. Everyone I know who has attended there absolutely loves it. However, you should be proficient in French, or plan to be proficient soon in order for this to work out well for you. If you are already fluent in French, you will have no problem. Montreal has a European feel to it, so if you like that ambiance you will love McGill.
McGill is a private research university of about 23,000 undergraduates. It has more of an international feel than the University of Texas. And of course, Montreal is an international city, whereas Austin is not. A full 19% of McGill's students are international, whereas only about 4.3% of University of Texas at Austin students are international. Lastly, you will have to be prepared for cold weather, because Montreal does get cold in the winter.
Now, on to University of Texas at Austin. I only know one person who attended there, and she liked it a lot. It is part of the UT system. It is a huge state school with more than 38,000 undergraduates. Because any student who graduates in the top 10% of his class is guaranteed admission to university of Texas system, of course, most of the students come from Texas. You will probably like the warmer weather.
So, I guess the bottom line is what type of university experience do you want. Both are excellent institutions where you can study just about everything. It may be more difficult to get admitted to the major you want at University of Texas at Austin simply because it is such a large school so they may not have space for you in your desire major unless you are a stellar, outstanding student.
Both universities are excellent choices, but I know which one I would choose if I could turn back the clock. Can you guess what my choice would be? I'll give you a little hint ... I love to travel, I can speak a bit of French, and I adore the look and feel of Montreal. I'd go for McGill, but you will have to decide which university is the right fit for you. I don't think you can go wrong with either choice. Good luck.

What are my chance of getting into Concordia University in Montreal? We Answered:
Hey there! I advise future students in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Concordia University, so I'd be happy to help you out with your questions. The admission decision is based on three items: your grades, your portfolio and your letter of intent. There are no interviews. Much emphasis is placed on the portfolio, however grades are important too. We will favor a student with strong grades and a strong portfolio over a student with a strong portfolio who simply meets the minimum requirements.
I also noticed that you posted another question regarding the competition. It is indeed a competitive program. The number of applicants far exceeds the number of students who are admitted, so you want to make sure to build a strong portfolio.
What I would recommend to you if you want to increase your chances of getting admitted, is that you attend our upcoming Portfolio Day (during our Open House) on Sat. October 23 2010. During this event, you can sit down one-on-one with a Photography professor and get some constructive feedback on your portfolio: http://openhouse.concordia.ca/portfoliod…
I hope this helps! If you have any other questions, you can find me on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/studyfinearts.co…

where is the nearest masjid or mosque to the sir george williams campus of concordia university montreal? We Answered:
Assalamu alaikum. There are a number of mosques in the Montreal area. The link below may be able to help you find one in your area. The closest will probably be the Shah Jalal Islamic Center.
You may also want to check with the Concordia Islamic Students Association, as they may be assigned an office or classroom to use for prayer and meetings.
