Can't you get someone back home to send you your documents by mail? I doubt if any notary will certify copies of your documents without having a look at the originals, as it is very easy to fake copies, which is why they insist on certified copies in the first place.

I don't know about a 'certified' copy, but if you re looking for a notarised copy, perhaps you should contact a notary public in your area. Contact the Admissions Office of the university where you plan to join to see whether notarised copies will do.

I'm not sure any university offers a degree in "intense writing," though such a program would no doubt be pretty interesting.

Many universities offer solid English programs with well-published authors where a student's opportunity for publication is limited only by the student's own ambition. I mean, seriously, there are hundreds if not thousands of options for you to choose from, from the Ivy League schools on down.

Getting into Indiana University is not too hard. Getting into the Kelley School of Business is another matter. However, if you get into IU and do very well your first year, you have a good chance of getting into Kelley as a sophomore.

You might also consider U Texas-Austin, University of Richmond, and Miami University (in Ohio).
