The University of Western Sydney has six campuses. It would be essential to contact the Vice Chancellor or someone from International studies to gain permission to visit the campuses. I am sure if you give them enough notice they would be extremely happy to take you for a tour of their facilities.

I am Canadian and went to UC (Canberra) for a year. The school was ok, and the city was really nice. It has a real country feel to it and you WILL see kangaroos on the campus and around town. Canberra is a beautiful, multicultural city and the downtown area has some unique things to do.

There isn't much to do there though, and you have a long way to travel to get anywhere. If you do travel and tell people that you go to school in Canberra, they look at you like you are off your rocker.

The ocean is about an hour and a half away and easy to get to by car. I would suggest you buy one if you can.

I go to the University of Western Sydney, studying teaching. I have studied on 2 of their 6 campuses, and I would say that they are fairly well resourced, though they aren't exactly very 'pretty'. There are some pictures of the campus on the website, as listed below.
It is a very culturally diverse university, reflecting all cultures, and for the most part I have found other students to be really friendly.
In regards to admission, I always joke that UWS would let just about anyone in, simply to retain their claim to having the most students.
