It will mean something in the Phoenix area, but won't mean much outside that general vicinity. Run-of-the-mill degree from run-of-the-mill school. Harvard, Wharton, Stern (NYU), etc, mean a lot anywhere. Many MBAs really have no prestige and will not get you a top job with a top company -- good for getting a decent job with a larger local firm.

For an MBA, it is best to go to schools that are accredited by the AACSB. Phoenix is trying hard, but it still does not have the respect of employers. Consult the Official MBA Guide. It allows you to search for programs by location (US, Europe, Far East, etc.), by concentration (finance, marketing, aviation management, health management, accounting, etc.), by type of program (full-time, distance learning, part-time, etc), and by listing your own criteria and preferences to get a list of universities that satisfy your needs. Schools report their tuition cost, number of students, class sizes, program length, and a lot of other data. Schools provide data on entrance requirements, program costs, program characteristics, and much more. You can use the Guide to contact schools of your choice, examine their data, visit their web site, and send them pre applications. You can see lists of top 40 schools ranked by starting salaries of graduates, GMAT scores, and other criteria. It's the best service available at http://officialmbaguide.org.

I salute you for trying to make a better life for you and your family.
I suggest that you contact your state's Secretary of Education and file a formal complaint especially against the Pell grant blunder.
I suggest that you make sure that they are accredited in your state (or country) and if it is possible to have a sit-down with whomever is your counselor and point blank ask them what the problem is...
If it is all internet classes, which are becoming quite the norm, you are probably going to have to count it off, and move to your local school system. I know that UW has a great online program going.
Failing a class is not a big problem, so don't worry about it.
Just keep driving on for the goals you have set.

Regardless of the time that you have spent already, IF they are not accredited, GET OUT NOW, While you still have some value in the Pell system.
