Rather than use an Excel spreadsheet I suggest you use a Google Docs spreadsheet. You can allow particular people to edit the spreadsheet and then publish the chart.

Google Docs provides a means of publishing charts as graphics.

To embed this in a webpage you would just include <img src="http://spreadsheets.google.com/oimg… > on your page.

In Google Docs it appears you can only add a chart to the sheet that the data is on. However once created you can move it to its own sheet.

First thing I do when working with tabular data, which you are, is to break each of the 5 worksheets apart. If you can, make sure the column headers are all have the same name and relate between the 5 worksheets. Make sure you have some kind of relationship between the data in all 5 workbooks, as this will make joining the data much easier.

Once that has been done, there is a built in Chart Wizard that can allow you to select the data you would like displayed in 3D.

Make sure the data types of the data in the columns are supposed to be what they should be. For example a number should be a number and a name should be text. If it is not, collating the data can become a big problem. This can be done by slecting the column at the top, right click, and properties. At this point you can set all data in that column to be of a specific type, depending on the data that is in it.

Selecting cells or columns of data can be done by CTRL+ LEFT CLICK when using the wizard. Selecting between workbooks can also be done in the wizard. Play around with it and save often, because going back if you make a mistake will much easier.

Hence you will have two rows:

haven't actually tried the code, but it looks like the enabled property determines visibility.
