10 POINTS. GUYZ THIS MATH WORKSHEET IS SUPPOSE TO BE EASY MATH, BUT I DNT GET IT ;/ HELP? ANSWERS PLZZ<333?

We Answered:

They're really simple and there are only two types of questions in Q1-Q15, just with different variations. I'll do the two types, and hopefully you'll understand how to do them.

1. 7n + 2 = 4n + 17
First move 4n to the other side and 2 to the other side. When you move them to the other side, write the opposite of the operation, that is + turns into - and vice versa.
7n - 4n = 17 - 2
3n = 15
Isolate the n by moving the 3 to the other side
n = 15/3
n = 5

7. 5(x + 2) = 3(x + 8)
Expand each bracket by multiplying the number outside the bracket with the numbers inside it.
5x + 10 = 3x + 24
Move the values like in the previous question
5x - 3x = 24 - 10
2x = 14
x = 14/2
x = 7

Q16 and Q17 are basically the same, except it's worded.

Help on Customary Length Math Worksheet (easy 4 u guys I bet)?

We Answered:

In the first question there are 12 inches in one foot so if you have 40 inches all you have to do is divide 40 inches by 12 inches to give you 10/3 feet or 3.333 feet or 3 feet 4 inches.Remember that when you divide 40 inches by 12 inches you are canceling out the units. You are canceling inches which is what you want to do in order to get feet.

(40in/12in)(1ft) = 3.333 feet [the inches cancel out on the top and bottom and you are left with feet]

I'm unsure on how to do the next two problems but with the 3rd problem, you have to convert feet into yards. Remember that there are three feet in a yard so what you want to do is cancel your units in feet to get yards. Divide 16 feet by 3 feet to get 5.33333 yards and to convert back into feet multiply 5.33333 by 3 feet to get 16 ft. again.

[16ft/3ft][1yd] = 5.33333 yd ( the feet cancel out in the top and bottom of the problem and all you are left with are yards as your unit)

[5.33333yd/1yd][3feet] = 16 feet (the yards cancel out on the top and bottom and you are left with just feet)

For the next problem again, you have to know that there are 12 inches in one foot.Divide 75inches by 12 inches to cancel out the units and get feet:
[75in/12in][1ft] = 25/4 or 6.25 feet

[6.25ft /1ft][12in]= 75 inches
