Biology Help.?We Answered:
The sun is the ultimate source of energy. It supplies energy to the plant in which they convert to starch. The cows eat the plants and humans eat the cows when they are turned into hamburgers. All through out these energy tranfers, heat is always given off or as you say, heat dissipates. There is no such thing is 100% energy efficiency. Heat is always given off, that is second law of thermodynamics. So as the plants use the solar energy, some of that chemical energy is given off as heat and dissipates into the environment. The animals use mechanical energy to move around and eat the plant, and also some of that energy is given off as heat. It's a simple concept and shouldn't be too hard to draw a poster about. Just use arrows from the sun to the plants to the cows to the humans and then into the atmosphere as heat.
