Carmen Said:

If y= x squared + 2 how do you find the axis of symmetry? Then how do I find the vertex!?

We Answered:

if it is y = x^2 +2
all this means is that from a normal parabola y=x^2
which has its vertex on (0,0)
you shift this parabola two units upward
this means that the vertex is at (0,2)
and the axis of symmetry is x = 0
