We make our own curriculum too. That sounds like what your grandmother does when she is able, am I correct? So, now is your chance to take charge of your education. Go on line and do search for subjects you need or are interesting to you. If you are clueless, go to your state schools website and look there for ideas by finding out what public school students are studying. Sometimes they have links to study pages. There text books sometimes have webpages, like Glencoe and Prentice-Hall. Get into on line support group. If you are visual or hearing learner, search the Google or Youtube videos for lectures. If you have a way to get to public library, go to their website, search catalog and reserve books, videos, or audios and then go pick them up.
Kids today learn more by accident than we that are over 50 learned on purpose. If you have no source other than internet, you can find enough here to give yourself an excellent education. There is a theory that everyone is 'self-taught' because we learn what we want to learn. No one can force an education into our head. Even if we are 'spoon fed' knowledge, we won't remember it unless it our choice to remember. Learn how to learn. I learned this as an adult and wish I had learned it in public school. A good memory will give you good grades, but a thirst for knowledge will prepare you for the future.

I use Moore Expressions and they are sooo helpful. E-mail them requesting help in ordering used curriculum, and ask for them to phone you. They are great. They are advertised as:
