Line Graph Worksheets
Heidi Said:
Hi. how do i go about drawing a line graph in excel worksheet?We Answered:
First, you need a row of numbers in cells on your worksheet. Highlight these cells and click the 'Chart Wizard' button. Under standard types, choose 'line'. Click next. The data range should already be selected.Joan Said:
Can ANYONE find some worksheets online that are on Gradient, profile graphs, and conotur lines?We Answered:
you could probably use http://www.classzone.com/books/earth_sci… Im terribbly sorry i couldnt find any different.Gwendolyn Said:
How can you tell which side of the graph to shade in an inequality unsing boundary lines?We Answered:
Just plug in an easy point and see if it works. If it does, shade in the side that it is on. If it does not work, shade the other side.The most common point I see used in this method is the origin, or (0,0).

I'm trying to graph a circle with an inequality in it?? PLEASE help!?We Answered:
With an equal sign, it is eqn of a circle as you described.with the INEQUALITY, the (x,y) values are such that the left side of the equation is always less than 9.
I would draw the graph like this (not counting your H,M,L):
DOTTED LINE FOR THE CIRCLE (dotted line indicated circle is a boundary, but not part of solution ... its less than).
SHADE the AREA IN THE CIRCLE. ... all values INSIDE
the Circle satisfy the equation.
I don;t know how this fits with your grids...
..."H's" in squares completely INSIDE the circle??
"M" in squares that the circle passes thru?
"L" in squares completely outside the circle?

How do you find slope from a graph?We Answered:
m = y2-y1 / x2-x1So if you have two points, label one point Point 1 and the other point Point 2
Each point should have an (x,y) coordinate so for point 1 the coordinates are (x1, y1) and for point 2, they're (x2, y2)
Now plug the coordinates into the equation:
Let's say point 1 is (3, 2) and point 2 is (5, 6)
m = 6-2/5-3
m = 4/2
m = 2
slope is 2

How are line graphs used to show how two variables are related?We Answered:
The input data (independant variable) is recorded on the x axis and the output (dependant) on the y. The line starts at the lowest (input,output) value and ends at the highest. Simple.
