Teachers: Answer only please.?

We Answered:

Your state will have standards set in place that your students need to know by the time they leave your classroom at the end of the year or by the time they reach a certain grade. There are plenty of teacher's edition's of popular textbooks that give you great ideas. The best resources are the internet and other teachers. When I plan my assignments I look at the state and district standards (which are very similar in my district) and from there I decide what lessons to use from the teacher's editions and student text books. If there are standards that are not met or need more time, I search the internet for lesson ideas and ask other teachers. Remember, someone else has always taught this subject before you and you can benefit from other's experiences. Good luck!

Have You Experienced Sexism In Your Workplace or College/University?

We Answered:

Female
Yes
Workplace
Yes
Spoken generalizations-A lot of that directed at both genders.
Favouritism-My husband worked at a place where he was the only male and the women did get special treatment.
Encouraged sexism-If it's accepted,it's encouraged.
Sexist materials-Some men where I used to work put up xxx posters and looked at porn on the company computer
Sexual harassment-That was at every place I ever worked. Sometimes it was co-workers,other times it was customers/clients and I was expected to play along.
