If you go into Excel and hit the F1 key, you'll open up the Help feature. All of your answers can be found there. You'll look up the section on charts to get the information about the axis and the data series and stuff.

Absolute and relative are findable through the index of the Help feature.

Just go poke around. This stuff is easy to find. Even if you don't remember 6 months from now what all of this is called, you will still need to remember how it works.

you need to set the formatting for those cells. If you just leave it as general you will get these problems.
Also when you copy paste, use paste special and select keep formatting. When using paste special you can do it several times to get the values and formatting correct.
