William Said:

Parts of speech help!?

We Answered:

Those are prepositions. Think of prepositions as anything you can do to a noun. i.e. He walked "around" the chair", he went "inside" the house.
When "left" is pertaining to dircection, it's a noun. Otherwise if he "left" the party, it's a verb b/c it shows action and the "left" side of the building is an adjective b/c it describes something.
Hope this helps.

Parts of speech, summer worksheet's to stay sharp ;) !!?

We Answered:

A. part of speech: relative.
kind/use: determiner. It is being used to specify the books that you are asking her about.

B. part of speech: adverb
kind/use: modifies the verb left. It tells how they left the house.

C. part of speech: adverb (specifically, an intensive adverb).
kind/use: It is being used to intensify the meaning of the adjective tired. Thus, you aren't just tired, but very tired.

You're welcome.
