OK!! La feria de Málaga empezó la semana pasada y duró 9 días. Había música y baile en las calles del centro. Unas 3 millones de personas visitaron la feria. Como era agosto, hacía muchísimo calor, con temperaturas de 35 a 40 grados centígrados.
La feria de noche tuvo lugar en una zona que se llamaba el Eral donde hubo atracciones y casetas donde se podía comer, bailar, y cantar. Yo fui con mis padres y tomamos tapas y raciones en los bares. Volvimos a casa a las 6 o 7 de la mañana. Todo estuvo estupendo!!

Passato Prossimo: used to describe an action that is completed, or which occurred at a specific moment in time.

Venerdi sera, io sono andata alla festa.
Io sono andata alla festa, e poi il mio cellulare ha suonato.

Imperfetto: used to describe actions that occurred habitually, which were interrupted, or which occurred at an unspecified moment in time.

Quando era giovane, non mangiavo alcune verdure.
Camminavo alla scuola quando ho visto a Sara.
Quando io vivevo in Milano, lavoravo in una bottega.

I'm not going to specify passato remoto - if you're still learning imperfetto, chances are you haven't learned passato remoto yet.
