Your teacher should have been more specific. Both intra- and endo- prefixes mean inside, within. If I were to guess, I would put Intra- the inner part and endo- internal
Erica Said:
what is the meaning of this prefix? We Answered:
re = again, cog = to notice, ize = to actcon = with, curr = running, ent = activates the root word
in = to act upon, terro = grounded (I think), ate = action added to root
ad = to or toward, mire = to look at, no meaningful suffix
e = going outward, vapor = vapor, ate = action added to root
Eva Said:
Do these words have prefixes or do you have to see the entire root?mishap, entire, mischief, employ, transmit? We Answered:
I found a great website that will show you exactly what you are looking for, and very easy to use. It's etymonline.com. It has a complete etymological dictionary, where all you do is type in the word you are looking for, and it will tell you if the prefixes and root words are legitimate. It will also tell you where or from what language they originated.I actually was beginning to get a bit confused myself, so I looked it up. After a while, I found that site. Please check it out. It will help you now and in the future. Good Luck!
If you've got the time, let me know if it helped.
