We Answered:

Teachers use the books that are adopted (chosen) by the school district where they teach. Each preschool (if private) can choose the curriculum and books that they wish to use.
When I taught, I used the textbooks that were chosen in addition I supplemented with my own materials, hands on activities, story books, etc.
It is all dependent on where you teach, and what kind of school you teach at.
